Aims of the course

This interactive one-day course on conflict management will equip participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage conflict within the workplace.

Participants will learn to:

  • Recognise the impact of personality and character upon challenging situations
  • Identify the triggers and causes of conflict in teams
  • Assess and identify personal conflict resolution style(s)
  • Use a 3-stage process to move conflict to resolution
  • Use listening and questioning techniques as tools in conflict resolution
  • Gain the confidence and ability to effectively manage conflict in even the most difficult situations


Key topics covered:

  • Identifying the triggers and causes of conflict in teams (group discussions, identifying conflict outcomes)
  • Management approaches to conflict (exploring the three-stage process for conflict resolution)
  • Identifying your own personal confl ict resolution style (exploring the Kilmann model)
  • Reviewing the importance of non-verbal communication when managing conflict (being assertive in a conflict situation, review & action planning)


What is included?

The majority of our courses are customised and delivered in house.  Our standard fee for customised course delivery over the duration of a day is £950.00, which includes diagnostics, course customisation to ensure the course meets the specific needs of your organisation, materials and delivery to groups of up to 15 people.  This equates to a training investment of £65.00 per head.
