Aims of the course

This one-day training course will equip participants with the tools & techniques to deal with anger effectively at work. Whether their own anger, or that of others, participants will acquire the skills to recognise signs of anger and strategies for managing the situation positively and constructively.

Participants will learn to:

  • Recognise the emotional triggers that drive anger
  • Apply strategies for gaining control of anger in everyday work situations
  • Manage other people’s anger and deal calmly and effectively with challenging people
  • Develop a toolbox of strategies and techniques for professional conflict resolution skills

  • The impact of negative and hostile behaviour in the workplace
  • ‘Hidden anger’, e.g. undermining people, criticism, manipulation, etc.
  • The emotional triggers driving anger
  • Constructive and effective communication techniques
  • When and how to intervene during angry transactions between third parties
  • The role and techniques of mediation
  • Develop a strategy for managing workplace anger
  • Action planning

 

What is included?

The majority of our courses are customised and delivered in house.  Our standard fee for customised course delivery over the duration of a day is £950.00, which includes diagnostics, course customisation to ensure the course meets the specific needs of your organisation, materials and delivery to groups of up to 15 people.  This equates to a training investment of £65.00 per head. Certificates are issued upon completion of the training for all participants.
