Aims of the course

This three-day training course is designed to give learners first aider accreditation, enabling them to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations in the workplace.

Participants will leave with the ability to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective first aid in emergency situations with an understanding of the role of the first aider.

 

Who will benefit from attending?

The qualification is designed for anyone with first aid responsibilities at work.  The qualification will enable them to provide first aid when dealing with an emergency situation.

Participants will learn to:

  • Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider
  • Assess an incident
  • Manage an unresponsive casualty who is/is not breathing normally
  • Recognise and assist a casualty who is choking
  • Manage a casualty who is wounded and bleeding or with a minor injury
  • Manage a casualty who is in shock
  • Understand the legal requirements of first aid provision

  • Incident and accident records
  • Incident assessment
  • Dealing with emergencies: CPR assessment, unconscious casualty assessment, wounds bleeding and shock assessment
  • Qualification assessment (practical and/or theoretical)

 

What is included?

The majority of our courses are customised and delivered in house.  Our standard fee for customised course delivery over the duration of a day is £950.00, which includes diagnostics, course customisation to ensure the course meets the specific needs of your organisation, materials and delivery to groups of up to 15 people.  This equates to a training investment of £65.00 per head. Certificates are issued upon completion of the training for all participants.
